Description



  • We are looking for a qualified ACCA or ACMA accountant to join our firm. The role would involve providing accounting services to firms in the United Kingdom and would be office-based with the flexibility to work from home. This role is ideal for anyone looking to have training and mentorship from a qualified accountant in a growing accounting and tax firm based in the UK.


Responsibilities 

The key duties and responsibilities are:



  • Liaising with clients via phone and email making sure all client queries are attended to promptly

  • Performing all bookkeeping tasks for all assigned clients

  • Completing all accounts reconciliations, making sure all accounts are accurate and up to date

  • Preparing and producing monthly management accounts packs for clients including following up with clients for outstanding documentation

  • Updating and maintaining accounts to Trial balance level for company accounts and tax return completion

  • Preparation of LTD Company accounts and corporation tax returns

  • Preparation and submission of personal tax computations and returns

  • Assisting with completing relevant registrations with HMRC

  • Managing credit control activities for all clients

  • Ad hoc work as required to facilitate operations when required

  • Manage junior accountant

  • Due to the continuing expansion and changing nature of this business, your job description will inevitably change. You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management.


What We Need from You

Ideal candidate experience requirements:



  • MUST be Qualified ACCA or ACMA

  • Minimum three years of experience within an accountancy practice or similar accounting functions

  • Able to produce sole trader & Ltd Company accounts competently

  • Experience with HUBDOC, QuickBooks, Xero, and TaxCalc is preferential but not essential

  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook & Excel

  • You must have a "can do" attitude and be able to work independently with appropriate support.

  • You should be proactive, motivated and willing to learn, with a problem-solving attitude.

  • You will be confident in engaging with clients to build a rapport and offer them solutions and direction.

  • You should have the ability to multi-task, stay organized, manage your workload and can work independently

  • You should have good attention to detail.

  • Most importantly you should be a team player.


Rewards



  • Salary: N2,5000,000 to N3,500,000 naira per annum depending on experience.

  • There is an allowance to work remotely at least 2/3 times a week subject to the company's needs.
