Job Description

• Provide excellent wait service to ensure customers’ satisfaction


• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)


• Sell and up-sell menu items to customers in order to maximize sales


• Serve customers in an accommodating manner


• Deliver food and beverages to any table as needed


• Participate fully in preparation before service


• Ensure all service equipment are clean


• Make requisitions for service items e.g., take out bags, napkins, etc.


• Check with the hostess for reservations


• Ensure personal hygiene is always maintained


• Clear and maintain table cleanliness


• Administer change to tables when needed


• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses


• Communicate order details to the kitchen staff


• Request feedback from the customers


• Give report on all customers’ feedback to the Head Waiter


• Follow health code standards with regards to the handling of food


• Full participation in close of shift duties – cleaning of tables, rearranging Café etc


• Assist in keeping the Café clean and safe


• Report to duty on time and in proper uniform


• Perform any other task as assigned.
