Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures, ensuring their stability, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should be registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), possessing a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design structural engineering solutions for various projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and standards.


• Conduct structural analysis and calculations using computer-aided design (CAD) software, applying engineering principles and best practices.


• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.


• Collaborate with architects and other professionals to discuss project specifications, resolve design issues, and ensure seamless coordination.


• Utilize structural analysis software and tools to simulate and evaluate the performance of various structural components and systems.


• Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and relevant codes and standards to incorporate them into design processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.


• Professional registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).


• Proven experience as a Structural Design Engineer, with a focus on designing and analyzing structures for construction projects.


• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, standards, and construction practices in Nigeria.


• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
