Job Summary



  • The IT Personnel at Mattoris Supamarket plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our information technology systems and infrastructure.

  • This position involves maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software, managing IT resources, and providing technical support to our staff.


Key Responsibilities

Hardware and Software Maintenance:



  • Ensure the proper functioning of all computer systems, peripherals, and network devices.

  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components and software applications as needed.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, updates, and system optimizations.


Technical Support:



  • Provide technical assistance to employees for hardware and software issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime.

  • Assist in setting up and configuring new workstations for employees.


Network Management:



  • Monitor the network infrastructure to ensure stability and performance.

  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of routers, switches, and access points.

  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and implement solutions.


Data Security and Backup:



  • Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive information.

  • Conduct regular data backups and ensure data recovery procedures are in place.

  • Assist in educating employees about data security best practices.


Software Licensing and Updates:



  • Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

  • Keep track of software updates and patches, and apply them as needed.


Inventory Management:



  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and accessories.

  • Order and manage supplies and replacement parts when necessary.


Documentation:



  • Create and update documentation for IT procedures, systems, and configurations.

  • Keep records of hardware and software inventory.


User Training:



  • Provide training and support to employees on IT-related topics and tools.

  • Develop training materials and resources as needed.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience in IT support and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in hardware and software installation and configuration.

  • Knowledge of network protocols and systems.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus.
