Job Purpose Statement
- This individual on this role will work to deliver both brand communication materials and digital products across the group via every customer touchpoint.
- The objectives for this role, include but are not limited;
- Work with the overall design team to achieve business objectives.
- Provide design support to other departments to design operational and technical processes.
- Providing creative vision not just for the design team but the whole organization.
- Meeting with internal stakeholders to discuss and understand their design needs.
- Design, produce, and update printed and digital marketing collateral such as social media assets, banners, signage, web graphics, trade show booths, sales / corporate presentations, web mock-ups, display ads and landing pages.
- Develop strategy and tactics to create interest, demand, and recognition of the brand through the use of performance driven design; includes: strategy, implementation, execution and interpretation of data collected.
- Design/Illustrate assets for website ensuring quality across browsers and devices. Responsive design is required and full mobile optimization.
- Understand and translate business and marketing objectives goals and promotions into visually compelling layouts and online user experiences.
- Assist to ensure all marketing communications across various channels and departments remain consistent and align with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with other designers, product teams, engineers, web developers, and Brand comms & Digital marketing team to ensure quality in all aspects of campaign execution.
- Responsible for advocating for the importance of UCD, UX + UX research, lean and agile methodologies throughout the design team and whenever interacting with those outside the design team.
Qualifications
Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
- Design certifications
- Google Design Certificate
- Membership, Interaction Design Foundation is an added advantage
Desired work experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience gained within a corporate and/or agency environment or freelancer
- Creative / Design Agency is required
- Corporate experience, interest or experience in the media / communications industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of brand / corporate communications and digital marketing is desirable
- Experience with in designing collateral for executing high-impact marketing events / activities and communications/PR.
