SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for an Electrical and Instrument Technician to join its work force in Nigeria.


QHSE



  • Ensures HSE policy fulfillment during his activities.

  • Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules

  • Is responsible to ensures compliance with HSE Legislation, Company Standards and Procedures under his area of responsibility to ensure employees safety, legislative compliance, and responsible environment attitude.

  • Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrity

  • Contributes to achieve and improve HSE targets.

  • Performs the updating of technical documentation.

  • Gives his contribution in Hazard Analyses, incident investigations, Root Cause Failure Analyses, process incidents advising his hierarchy about HSE issues and proposing corrective solutions.


Main Activities



  • Organize and perform on site, the maintenance operations which are placed under his responsibility.

  • Assist the preparation/planning team by giving any technical support for preparation of the jobs in his/her discipline.

  • Manage intervention and prepare the technical reports related to the field

    Responsible for the quantity and availability of specific tools of his team.

  • Take charge of the systems/equipment under his/her responsibility in case of breakdown until correct operation status.

  • Identify recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyze them, and suggest improvements.

  • Identify any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts.

  • Perform onsite installations, repairs, & maintenance of electrical equipment such as Solar PVs, cables & cable trays, switches, control panels, capacitors, relays, fuses, or circuit breakers.

  • Perform varying corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance for solar PV systems/installations.

  • Reading diagrams, schematics, or other documents to determine wiring configurations & accurate placement of Solar PVs.

  • Apply root cause analysis techniques on all major and recurring faults.

  • Makes use of gauges and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions and mechanic hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components.


Profile


Main activities : 



  • Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of instrument application, operation and of the electrical and mechanical principles involved in repair, testing and calibration.

  • Maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation devices, electrical power distribution and monitoring devices, VFD drives and motor control.

  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance including calibration, using data collectors, testing and diagnostic tools, and computerized maintenance management systems.

  • Following all safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, PPEs, etc.

  • Partake in pre-commissioning & commissioning of electrical installations.

    Identifying problems with electrical systems and recommending solutions.

  • Record keeping and management of spare parts movement


Profile : 



  • Higher National Diploma or higher

  • +5 years post graduate experience in a same industry

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • PLC programming experience

  • HMI programming experience

  • Experience in Solar PVs installation is an added advantage

  • Electrical Habilitation is an added advantage

  • Candidate must reside in Lagos
