Job Description
You will be responsible for the following:
- Installing and repairing Industrial generators, including troubleshooting problems with existing generators and ordering replacement parts.
- Maintaining records of generator usage and performance, including fuel consumption rates and machine adjustments
- Performing maintenance on generators, including lubricating moving parts and replacing filter
- Recommending repairs or replacements of generators that are not operating properly.
- Inspecting facilities for hazards such as carbon monoxide leaks or loose electrical wiring that could lead to fire or electrocution.
- Repairing generators by replacing parts such as starters, alternators, etc
- Diagnosing problems with generators using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters
- Troubleshooting problems that occur with generators, including overheating or low oil levels that can damage internal components
Requirements
As a generator mechanics are required to have a degree in Mechanical engineering and at least 5 years proven experience as a generator Mechanic.
