Job Summary
The Cardiac Physiologist will ensure that:
- All procedures (ECHO, ECG [Stress & Resting], PFT) are done timely and effectively.
- Timely review of ECHO images by the Cardiologist.
- The test results are made available on time and sent to the report collection center.
- Ensure the machines are properly handled and kept in good condition.
- Ensure consumables are properly utilized without wastage.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently conduct Cardiac procedures such as Echocardiographs (ECHO).
- Carry out other procedures such as Lung Function Test (Spirometry), and Electroencephalogram (ECG).
- Perform and monitor patients as they undergo exercise stress tests (usually treadmill).
- Monitor blood pressure and heartbeat rate.
- Receives phone orders for Cardiac tests.
- Keep and / or retrieves departmental copies of patient test reports.
- Ensure reports of patients are reviewed timely.
- Notifies Report / Result Desk that Cardiac reports are ready.
- Keeps the supervisor informed about malfunctioning of any office equipment.
- Monitor and flags clients report with extended reporting time.
Job Requirements
- First Degree in Physiology
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in handling of Cardiac procedure
- Must have basic clerical and administrative skills, such as: typing/word processing, filing, medical terminology, and be computer literate.
