Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a challenging and supportive learning experience for all students on Interior programs, providing world-class teaching and contributing to the academic development of Simplinteriors School of Interior Design within the overall context and vision of Simplinteriors.
- Play an important role in all aspects of quality assurance with regard to learning, teaching, and assessment
- Deliver lectures based on what you have understudy and approval from the creative director.
- Undertake an assessment of student work, contributing to internal and external examination boards where appropriate.
- Support the continued development and delivery of employability and work-related learning opportunities.
- Engage actively in the School’s research, research culture, and associated activities.
- Be actively engaged in knowledge exchange and impact activities and be aware of and able to exploit external funding opportunities.
- Teaching and learning support
- Getting Approval from the Creative Director.
- Design, develop and deliver a range of programs of study (sometimes for entirely new courses) at various levels.
- Design and maintain virtual learning content and environments
- Review on a regular basis course content and materials, updating when Required.
- Develop and apply appropriate teaching techniques and material that create interest, understanding, and enthusiasm amongst students.
- Ensure that course design and delivery comply with the quality standards and regulations of the School.
Operational:
- Undertake administrative duties commensurate with the role.
- Assist in the recruitment, selection, and admission of students
- Participate in the School’s Career Review, and Free Development class and undertake relevant staff development, where appropriate
- Contribute to educational visits/trips, activities, and exhibitions as directed by the School.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the department/school
- Contribute to the income-generating activities of the department and School, actively seeking and exploiting opportunities for current and future income generation within the area of expertise.
- As an Interim Facilitator, you are required to have an in-depth knowledge of Interior design both Practical and Theoretical.
- Lecture planning, preparation, and research
- Checking and assessing students' work
- Attending all staff meetings
- Involve in General Administration
- Writing research proposals, papers, and other publications
- Work to implement and achieve the goals and course outline of the Simplinteriors School.
- Assist in the Curriculum Management Audit.
- Take students out for site and market surveys.
- Coordinate, assists and supports the interior or architectural design team in planning, designing, and furnishing large corporate, commercial, or industrial projects.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification.
- 1 - 5 years work experience.
