As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership, and management of the microfinance bank. You will drive growth and expansion, ensure operational efficiency, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead a diverse team to achieve the bank's mission and objectives.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership:



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with the bank's vision, mission, and values.

  • Identify growth opportunities and expansion strategies to increase the bank's market presence and impact.


Financial Management:



  • Oversee financial performance, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.

  • Implement effective risk management strategies and maintain a strong credit quality portfolio.

  • Monitor key financial indicators and take proactive measures to address any deviations.


Operational Excellence:



  • Streamline operational processes tenhance efficiency, customer experience, and service delivery.

  • Maintain a robust internal control framework and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 10 years of progressive experience in the microfinance or financial services industry, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of microfinance operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading teams and driving growth in a financial institution.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability tmake data-driven decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability tmanage change and navigate a dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and digital tools for business enhancement.
