Job Summary:
We are looking for a procurement officer who will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process within our organization, from identifying sourcing needs to selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify the organization's procurement needs for goods and services.
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers, considering factors such as quality, cost, reliability, and reputation.
- Conduct supplier assessments and due diligence to determine their suitability.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
- Draft and review procurement contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and control procurement expenses to stay within budgetary limits.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate better deals with suppliers.
- Analyze price trends and market conditions.
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor performance.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Mitigate procurement-related risks and maintain proper documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging procurement technologies.Recommend changes and improvements in procurement strategies and processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
