Job Summary:


We are looking for a procurement officer who will be  responsible for overseeing the procurement process within our organization, from identifying sourcing needs to selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Identify the organization's procurement needs for goods and services.

  •  Research and evaluate potential suppliers, considering factors such as quality, cost, reliability, and reputation.

  • Conduct supplier assessments and due diligence to determine their suitability.

  •  Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.

  •  Draft and review procurement contracts and agreements.

  •  Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  •  Monitor and control procurement expenses to stay within budgetary limits.

  •  Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate better deals with suppliers.

  •  Analyze price trends and market conditions.

  •  Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.

  •  Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor performance.

  •  Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient operations.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Mitigate procurement-related risks and maintain proper documentation.

  •  Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging procurement technologies.Recommend changes and improvements in procurement strategies and processes.


Qualifications and Skills:



  •  Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

  •  Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.

  •  Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  •  Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  •  Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

  •  Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
