We are looking for motivated and talented individuals to join our team. The goal of this program is to help further develop your flight reservation and ticketing skills in a professional business setting, better preparing you for a future career in the professional world.
As an intern, you will work closely with the head of flight reservation and ticketing, who will provide you with specific projects and daily tasks. Interns will be able to apply classroom based knowledge to real life and gain essential skills needed to be career ready. Bitsin Travels and Tours Limited is dedicated to developing successful leaders, and we strive to make this internship as realistic and informative as possible.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with creating tailor-made holidays for the world's best hotels & resorts.
- Follow up on enquiries and convert them to sales.
- Keep informed of business changes that affects the ticketing area.
- Assist with selling travel products like holidays and insurance and provide detailed advice on routes and destination excursions.
- Assist with planning, describing, arranging, and selling itinerary tour packages and promotional travel incentives offered by the company.
- Build and maintain cordial relationships with all clients; meet and strive to exceed quality and productivity goals.
- Assist with helping passengers and customers with all travel-related inquiries including but not limited to changes or cancellations, and promoting special offers.
- Assist with communicating with customers to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.
- Maintaining statistical and financial records.
- Assist with using GDS and website reservations systems to check availability.
- Assist with making professional and accurate travel arrangements for our clients including air and ground transportation reservations.
- Contribute to revenue growth and profit margin of the organization.
- Work with impressive attention to detail.
- Work under pressure and meet agreed timelines whilst managing multiple high-end clients.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Fresh graduates (BSC & HND holders), OND graduates and fresh diploma holders from a reputable aviation academy or aviation school are strongly advised to apply.
- Relevant IT skills, excellent knowledge of traveling software (computer reservations systems, GDS systems, e-travel etc.) is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Exemplary sales skills and customer oriented approach.
- Keen interest in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc.).
- Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrable ability to handle crises.
- Applicants who are residents in Magodo, Ketu, Alapere, Shangisha and environs will be strongly considered.
PAY & BENEFITS STRUCTURE
- Base pay (N50,000 – N80,000)
- Successful graduate interns would be given full time contract.
