Our client requires a Programs Officer who will be responsible for driving and improving the organisation’s programmatic direction, particularly in relation to the organisation’s Women Economic Empowerment Program-WEEP
Responsibilities
Develop program strategy including delivery approaches and models for WEEP.
Ensure program quality and learning.
Work collaboratively with other Program Officers to provide overall leadership to the Programs Unit.
Conduct periodic program audits.
Influence funding priorities by sharing new learnings from ongoing programs
Identify and establish linkages across other programming areas.
Identify partners and strengthen partner relationships for WEEP.
Establish/strengthen reporting mechanisms to ensure timeliness in reporting.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Gender, Public Health, Business Administration or other related fields. A postgraduate degree in any related field is desirable but not compulsory and will be an added advantage.
Minimum (1-2) years of experience in program design and implementation.
Organising skills and capacity to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Familiarity with international and national legal framework on gender equality and women's rights.
Community mobilisation skills.
Experience designing and implementing gender-transformation approaches.
Experience in developing gender and GBV program strategies and models.
Proven skills in grant proposal writing, research and data management.
Fluency in Yoruba language.
Applicants should be residents of Ekiti. However, residents in neighbouring states such as Ondo, Osun, and Oyo can apply if they are willing to relocate to Ekiti.
