Job Objectives:



  • The Position Holder is responsible for managing the regional sales team of CIPLC Agency workforce and driving sales of all the company’s retail products. 


Primary Interfaces:



  • Internal - Underwriting, claims, Training Unit, Customer Service

  • External - Customers


Responsibilities:



  • Grow business with team members in line with the budget set by Management.

  • Manage and coach Team members professionally for optimal output.

  • Ensure the achievement of sales targets by all direct reports within the region.

  • Support Agency staff members by generating and closing leads.

  • Responsible for driving and sustaining effective people management practices that support the corporate objectives through optimal resourcing, retention, and development of Agency staff.

  • Create a strategy for the Agency workforce and drive the implementation of strategic initiatives that sustain / improve the competitiveness.

  • Provide strategic oversight over the day-to-day management of the Agency staff.

  • Supporting the Head of Retail with the engagement of relevant internal and external Stakeholders (Customers, Regulatory Bodies, Management Team) concerned, or affected by the activities.

  • Develop your team through motivation, counselling, coaching.

  • To uphold the brand image and ensure compliance with all internal as well as external regulations.

  • Conduct quarterly performance appraisal for Agency Managers.

  • Track sales goals/accomplishments and report results daily/weekly/monthly to Head of Retail.


Job Requirements


Education



  • Bachelor’s Degree /HND


Experience:



  • 7-10 years in sales management

  • Insurance industry experience is an added advantage.

Knowledge:



  • Proficient Understanding of the Insurance business and Company’s processes.

  • Human Resource Knowledge

  • Ability to communicate with company employees, trainers from other companies, professional training group members, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence.

  • Public Speaking capability
