Role Description

• The Presenter (Economic Analyst) is responsible for presenting economic news and analysis on our media platforms.


• This full-time role is an on-site position located in Ota, Lagos.


• The Presenter will use their analytical skills to provide in-depth economic reporting and interpretation, and deliver sophisticated insights to our viewers.


• The Presenter will also liaise with our Editorial team to develop relevant content on a regular basis.


• As a seasoned economic analyst, you must be ready to bring game-changing economic trends and developments to life and join a community that values civic engagement and political consciousness for the people.


• The successful candidate will have outstanding on-air presentation skills and a proven track record of engaging audiences with debate topics and contents that are economic-centered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Mass Communication, Journalism, Finance, Business Administration or a related field


• Exceptional journalism and broadcasting skills


• Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)


• Strong analytical and research skills


• Ability to work on tight deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to identify and communicate complex economic concepts and themes in an accessible and engaging way.


• Exhibit passion for digital broadcast and online media presentation.


• Applicant should have work experience in interviewing and writing, with strong English skills, while demonstrating excellent editorial judgement and conduct on social media.


• Proficient in using statistical software such as Stata, Eviews, and Python


• Experience in producing and presenting economic reportage for a media organization would be an added advantage
