Description



  • We are looking for a candidate who is highly experienced with Forklift and warehouse operations,

  • He or She will be responsible for the safe operation of a 5-ton forklift and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly routine checks of the forklift, whilst providing assistance with loading, offloading, sorting, and other warehouse operations/activities.


Key responsibilities:



  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and transport materials, products, and goods within the facility.

  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring that materials are handled safely and without damage.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking incoming and outgoing materials and products.

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Conduct pre-operational inspections of forklifts and report any issues to the supervisor.

  • Use forklifts to stack, palletize, and organize materials in an efficient and organized manner, optimizing storage space.

  • Ensure that materials are handled and transported in a way that preserves their quality and prevents damage.

  • Complete relevant paperwork and documentation related to material handling and inventory management.

  • Collaborate with other team members, including warehouse staff, supervisors, and other personnel, to ensure the smooth flow of materials and goods.

  • Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as refueling, oil changes, and cleaning, to keep them in good working condition.

  • Stay updated on forklift operating procedures, safety regulations, and best practices and provide training to new forklift operators as needed.


Requirements


Education: 



  • Minimum requirement of an Ordinary National Diploma


Experience:



  • At least 3 years experience with a minimum of 2 years working in an inventory management-related role

  • Experience handling goods/equipment in an appropriate manner

  • Candidates with risk management & HSE experience are preferred


Language Proficiency: English.


Skills



  • Knowledge of daily maintenance of forklifts.

  • Handling goods/equipment in an appropriate manner.

  • System process orientation.

  • Reconciliation and Inventory management skills.

  • Effective written & verbal Communication skills


Character:



  • Self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership with high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure.

  • Passionate about quality of workmanship.

  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands.


HSE certification is an advantage.
