Job Description

Position location is flexible to CHAI Program Countries pending leadership approval.


Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement a system to monitor the fidelity of the ORS/zinc distribution campaign to ensure the activities are carried out as planned

  • Collaborate with an external academic research partner to design and implement an impact evaluation study to evaluate the ORS/zinc distribution campaign on utilization and coverage

  • Conduct additional M&E and research activities as required, such as organizing and participating in field visits, developing field reports, database management, data quality reviews, and data analyses and interpretation

  • Prepare detailed oral or written reports of results in the context of the program strategy. Independently prepare and communicate conclusions and recommendations for next steps

  • Present effectively to internal CHAI forums and external meetings

  • Contribute to scientific papers and internal report


Qualifications



  • Master’s degree, preferably MPH or MPP; or Bachelor’s degree with equitable experience

  • 6+ years experience working in a results-oriented environment

  • Experience living/working in Africa and/or Asia

  • Experience managing randomized controlled trials and/or field research studies in public health or economic development

  • Experience delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Very strong analytical skills and a high level of proficiency in R and Stata

  • Ability to multi-task and be effective in high-pressure situations

  • Meticulous work ethic and strong attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and be flexible

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word


Advantages:



  • Experience using/developing electronic data collection software such as Open Data Kit (ODK) or SurveyCTO

  • Experience conducting GIS analyses

  • Experience working with national health management information systems (e.g., DHIS2)

  • Experience writing/editing/submitting publications for academic journals
