Responsibilities:



  • Liaise with department heads and supervisors to ensure clarity of the specifications to understand company needs

  • Review requests for proposals and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers

  • Research suppliers and vendors that meet the goals of the company and delegate tasks to the procurement team

  • Manage inventory, collect and analyze data to ensure the company is making the best decisions

  • Balance department budgets with needs

  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms

  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors for feasibility

  • Forecast needs and supplies, monitor industry trends and developments.

  • Incorporate new procurement software, e-procurement processes, and business processes

  • Analyzing procurement data, conduct spend analysis, and prepare reports.


Requirements:



  • Proven working experience in similar role

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other purchasing software

  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to negotiate and network

  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers

  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data

  • A degree in supply chain management, business administration or similar field of stud


YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:



  • A minimum of 5 years of experience needed
