- Develop sales plans, strategies, and policies to increase market share, sales revenue and profitability across the country and beyond.
- Drive top-line growth in domestic as well as export markets and prepare innovative plans to achieve higher value realization.
- Set monthly and other periodic sales and expense targets for the sales team, in agreement with the General Manager.
- Lead and coordinate the sales force to achieve sales targets and control of budgeted expenses.
- Develop an effective implementation and monitoring mechanism to ensure the achievement of the Sales plans and strategies.
- Provide leadership for the sales team, including goal setting, coaching and development. Participate in the recruitment and training of any new field staff.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from business development and customer acquisition to receipt of payments
- Map out the "Route-to-Market" plan per market per region to ensure availability and visibility. Devise and implement mapping, zoning and routing in all markets in Nigeria.
Technical Skills required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related course. An MBA would give an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years experiencein a similar role.
- An experienced and hands-on Leader, with previous experience withnew product and channel development in the modern trade and open market.
- Experience with new product launches and a measurable track record in developing new brands and growing its market share to an appreciable level.
- Deep interest in market trends and a meticulous approach to analyzing data to make informed decisions.
- Experience with developing businesses across the different regions in Nigeria.
