Job Description:
As a Production Manager at Wokcity Restaurant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen and food production processes. You will work closely with the kitchen staff, chefs, and other team members to deliver consistently excellent dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all food items served, adhering to our restaurant's standards.
- Monitor and control food inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain proper stock levels to minimize waste.
- Work to minimize food costs while maintaining high-quality standards. Implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they follow safety and hygiene standards, and provide training and guidance as needed.
- Create and manage kitchen staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak hours.
- Collaborate with chefs to develop and refine the restaurant's menu, suggesting new items and improvements.
- Enforce health and safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen to maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Address any kitchen-related issues promptly and professionally to ensure a smooth dining experience for customers.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
- Proven track record of effective kitchen management and staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Creative thinking and the ability to contribute to menu development.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
- Degree or certification in Food Science, Microbiology, Food and Nutrition or a related field
