Position Overview



  • The Technical Sales Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in our sales team, acting as a bridge between our technical solutions and potential clients.

  • This individual will be responsible for understanding the technical aspects of our products, effectively communicating their value proposition to clients, and providing technical support throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and demonstrate exceptional communication and sales skills.


Key Responsibilities

Product Knowledge:



  • Thoroughly understand the technical specifications, features, and applications of our products.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor products.


Customer Engagement:



  • Identify and qualify potential clients through market research and lead generation activities.

  • Conduct initial client meetings to assess their technical requirements and provide suitable solutions.


Technical Presentations:



  • Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.


Proposal Development:



  • Collaborate with the technical team to develop customized proposals based on client requirements.

  • Provide accurate and detailed quotations, including pricing, delivery schedules, and terms of sale.


Sales Support:



  • Act as a technical liaison between clients and the internal engineering team, addressing any technical queries or concerns.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and specifications.


Relationship Management:



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.

  • Gather client feedback and communicate it to the product development team for continuous improvement.


Market Insights:



  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement or new product development.


Collaboration:



  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies and campaigns.

  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote our products.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical sales or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and applications.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD software, CRM systems).

  • Ability to travel as needed.
