Supervising the food prep and cooking
Maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory
Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standard
Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products,recipesand preparation techniques
Examines product quality and filters defects or deviations from industry specifications.
Follow- up and maintain cleanliness and good hygiene practices in the kitchen.
Proper inventory and spot checks to ensure no pilferage
Monitor usage of items to avoid mis use and ensure all bad and damaged items are properly recorded.
Inform restaurant staff of available items and available chef special menu.
Ensure all kitchen staff keep work area in hygienic conditions according to the laid down rules and standard,
Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
Ensure prepared daily mise-en-place and food production in different sections of the main pantry or satellites.
Ensure cooked food are according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
Ensure fresh ingredients are used for cooking according to recipes/menu.
Responsible to maintain food logs.
Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature.
