Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our haulage company.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 30 employees in various operational roles.


• Set clear performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.


• Provide coaching and training to improve team performance.

Operational Excellence:

• Develop and implement efficient operational processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs.


• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance.


• Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Logistics Coordination:

• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.


• Plan and schedule routes, taking into account factors such as traffic, weather, and load requirements.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.


• Conduct regular safety training and drills to maintain a culture of safety within the team.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Liaise with customers to understand their specific requirements and address any concerns or issues.


• Foster strong customer relationships to enhance client satisfaction and retention.

Budget Management:

• Monitor and manage operational budgets to control costs and achieve profitability targets.


• Prepare regular reports on budget performance and variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in [relevant field, e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration].


• 6 years of experience in operations management within the haulage or transportation industry.


• Proven track record of successful team leadership and operational optimization.


• Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles.


• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
