Job Summary:
Establish, plan, and ensures the execution of acceptable standard of engineering maintenance practice for the plant, machinery, vehicles and facilities, making them available for optimum utilization, and efficiency.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements maintenance schedule as per OEM recommendations for the plant and machinery to ensure availability & efficiency.
- Develop work instructions and procedures to standardize maintenance methods and lead the Engineering team in implementation.
- Plans, controls, and coordinates all utility activities in the SWAN factory to ensure those services such as power, compressed air, water (borehole), and cooling systems are always available for smooth production operations.
- Ensures a safe working environment by emphasizing safety, taking all necessary precautions in material handling, and tools handling, and enforcing compliance in the use of safety gadgets.
- Plan and implement day-to-day maintenance activities of the factory line equipment, to achieve minimum agreed line OEE.
- Manage maintenance costs to budget and stretch targets.
- Draws up plans for routine maintenance and annual overhauling and carries out the maintenance and repairs of factory machinery, using own staff or outside contractors.
- Ensure that spare parts are available in their specification and optimum quantity and initiate replacement as the need arises.
- Promotes good manufacturing practices by inculcating standard hygienic practices in the maintenance team.
- Carries out RCA/CAPA & downtime analysis on a weekly basis to address priority areas.
- Monitor generator fuel consumption to check abnormal situations.
- Monitor grid electricity & coordinate with local electricity authority.
- Prepares engineering daily, weekly, and monthly summary reports to include equipment performance, cost monitoring, & improvement ideas
- Ensures that all site facilities are always kept in good working condition.
- Ensures maintenance of the equipment is done in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or any other related course with a professional certification. Registered Membership of NSE or COREN an advantage
- Experience in the Manufacturing industry. Preferably PET – Krones / Sidel line.
- Knowledgeable in Engineering practices and Business Process Design
- Preferably trained by Krones or Sidel on PET line.
- Knowledge of line operation & maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical & Automation)
- Understanding of Utilities and HV systems.
- Demonstrable experience of maintenance management, planning and asset care.
