Job Description



Job Responsibilities;



  • Review requests for quotations (RFQ's) and ensure adequacy of technical details provided by user.

  • Clarifies engineering-defined project scope with technical queries (TQ's),deviation request (DR's) and request

  • for information (RFI's) ahead of detailed engineering design (DED)

  • Carry out preliminary design of products to specified and or related international standards and specifications

  • Generate 3D models of steel structures and automatically extract GA, shop details drawings from same for

  • review (and implement comments raised on these deliverables)

  • Provide material take-off (MTO) of steel sections and other related items to be procured in company standard

  • format for review (and also implement comments raised on the MTO)

  • Specify technical delivery conditions (TDC) of project structural materials to be procured where necessary

  • Generation of correct weld map drawings from reference GA & details drawings, accurate & complete

  • material take off (MTO) etc of structures for review

  • Effective utilization of management of changes tools (TQ's, DR's and RFI's)


Job Requirements;



  • BSc/HND in Structural/Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

  • Possession of educational qualification registrable with relevant engineering professional bodies e.g., Nigerian Institute of Structural Engineers (NiStructE), Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) etc

  • 5 years minimum of related experience in basic engineering design and detailing of Pressure Vessel, and Steel structures using relevant tools such as StaadPro ,Robot, Revit Structures, MS Towers, AutoCAD 2D/3D , Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Plant 3D, Autodesk Advanced Steel, Tekla, Prosteel, PV Elite etc.
