Job Description
A private home seeks to employ a Certified Behavioral/Developmental Therapist Specialist for two toddlers.
Objective:
To provide specialized behavioral and developmental therapy to toddlers, with a focus on two-year-olds, implementing strategic, individualized plans to promote optimum development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Plan Development
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify the specific developmental and behavioral needs of each child, particularly two-year-olds.
- Develop detailed, personalized therapy plans in alignment with the child’s needs, utilizing certified therapeutic strategies and methodologies.
Direct Intervention:
- Implement tailored therapeutic interventions, ensuring they are in accordance with certification standards and best practices.
- Engage with toddlers in a variety of therapeutic activities aimed at promoting developmental progress and behavioral improvement.
- Provide and implement a cohesive and integrated approach to the child’s overall developmental strategy.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of each child’s progress, challenges, and adaptations made to the therapeutic strategies.
- Regularly communicate progress and any necessary modifications to the therapy plan to the family members.
Qualifications:
- Degrees and Certifications in relevant disciplines
Experience:
- Proven experience in delivering behavioral and developmental therapy to toddlers, with specific expertise in working with two-year-olds.
- Demonstrated success in implementing effective therapy plans and achieving measurable improvements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with toddlers, families, and team members.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of the children and families served.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage case documentation, planning, and scheduling effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Candidate must be in Ibadan. Must be physically capable of interacting actively with toddlers, including the ability to lift and move as necessary during therapeutic activities.
