Job Overview

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laundry Supervisor to oversee our laundry operations at an upscale hotel.


• The Laundry Supervisor will be responsible for managing the laundry staff, ensuring the proper cleaning and care of all fabrics, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency in our laundry facility.


• The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of fabrics, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and train a team effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laundry department, including staff scheduling, task assignment, and workflow management.


• Possess a strong understanding of different types of fabrics, textiles, and their respective care requirements to ensure proper cleaning methods.


• Inspect all laundered items to ensure they meet the hotel's quality standards and guest expectations.


• Manage and track inventory levels, including cleaning supplies and linens, and reorder items as necessary to maintain stock levels.


• Train laundry staff on proper techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe operations.


• Perform regular maintenance checks on laundry equipment, report any malfunctions, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and hotel policies related to laundry operations.


• Address guest concerns or special requests related to laundry services promptly and professionally.


• Maintain accurate records of laundry activities, including inventory counts, equipment maintenance, and cleaning schedules.


• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to coordinate laundry services for guests and staff as required.


• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality, including efficient use of resources and energy-saving practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; additional Training or Certification in Laundry Management is a plus.


• Proven experience as a Laundry Supervisor or similar role in a hotel or commercial laundry facility.


• Deep understanding of fabrics, textiles, and garment care methods.


• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.


• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.


• Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and maintenance procedures.


• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
