Job Summary:
- Our Client, a prominent one-man law firm based in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a Legal Clerk to handle land title registration, drafting, conveyancing, and CAC corporate registrations and searches.
- The ideal candidate should be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of four years of experience, and this role primarily involves legal clerical work, supporting the firm in the background.
Key Responsibilities:
Land Title Registration:
- Manage land title registration processes, including the preparation of necessary documentation.
- Liaise with relevant government agencies and stakeholders to ensure the timely and accurate registration of land titles.
Drafting and Conveyancing:
- Prepare legal documents related to property transactions, contracts, and agreements.
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
CAC Corporate Registrations and Searches:
- Handle the registration and maintenance of corporate entities with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Conduct searches for corporate information and documentation as required.
Legal Research:
- Conduct legal research to support various cases and projects.
- Stay updated on legal developments and changes in regulations relevant to land and corporate law.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with general administrative tasks as assigned by the managing attorney.
- Provide comprehensive support to ensure the efficient operation of the firm.
Skills and Requirements:

- A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and a current practicing license in Nigeria.
- A minimum of four years of post-qualification experience, with a strong background in land title registration, conveyancing, and corporate law.
- Proficiency in relevant legal software and databases.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
