Responsible to the Service Manager, with authority to carry out the following duties, for the paint shop and light vehicle workshops, which include but are not limited to:
Extraction of handwritten job details and conversion to job quotations, created on Excel Spreadsheets.
Sending, receiving and replying to emails for the workshops.
Ensuring all documentation for the panel & paint and light vehicle workshops are processed timeously.
Sourcing of spare parts, shop materials and consumables, from the local market.
Completion and submission of purchase authorization documentation.
To receive all intakes of spares, tools, consumables and materials into the workshop storerooms, ensuring that all intakes are detailed on supporting documentation such as delivery notes, waybills and transfer requisitions.
To issue spares, tools, consumables and other materials against properly authorised requisitions, from the workshop storerooms.
Maintain a control ledger for consumables and other materials in the storerooms, conduct weekly cycle counts in these storerooms and prepare a monthly stock reconciliation report for management.
Ensure that all store areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner at all times and that all spares, tools, consumables, and other materials are correctly stored in the racking systems and storage areas.
Ensure security of all materials in the storerooms, by controlling access and keys.
Foster and promote a safe and healthy work environment, by adhering to safe work practices at all times and compliance with the company's health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Must Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area.
Will perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the service manager.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 2 - 5 years work experience.
