Job Summary
- This role will help implement FIRST E&P’s political engagement strategy with JV partners, regulatory agencies and key policymakers in federal, state and local authorities,
- Specifically, this role will assist in coordinating all formal governance and informal business engagements with JV partners, key government stakeholders to ensure a professional and effective delivery of the company’s business objectives.
- This position also has responsibility for implementing plans whose purpose is to create a positive public image for FIRST E&P.
Key Accountabilities
The post holder will be responsible for the following:
- Co-ordinate all Governance & Business engagements with JV partners, NAPIMS, DPR and NNPC in the business affairs of FIRST E&P and it’s SPVs and subsidiaries
- Understanding of Joint Operating Agreement (JOA)
- Prepare, while liaising with business units, the presentation materials and briefs for engagements with JV partner
- Manage and coordinate the corporate engagement calendar for the business
- Information management; ensure and coordinate process of information flow between the company and its stakeholders and vice-versa
- Evaluate pending legislation and analyse the impact on FIRST E&P
- Deep understanding of JV/PSC processes
- Conversant with governance processes with key stakeholders NNPC, NUIMS, NCDMB
- Builds and develops relationships with key, state and local authorities, regulatory agency heads and key policymakers.
- Implement Corporate Business & Relations strategies.
- Participate in advocacy within NOC/Industry Relations, Bilateral, Multilateral institutions
- Enhance Relations with NNPC, NUIMS, NUPRC, NMDPRA
- Implement stakeholder maps for key business activities and engagement plan and strategy
- Manage an effective Issues Register for the JV
- Follow through on approvals from government and JV partners
- Implement internal and external communication strategy and plans
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate must have a sound understanding of the Business Delivery requirements
- The candidate must possess a University degree in the sciences or social sciences
