The Deputy Project Manager will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager to drive the successful execution of this comprehensive program.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of the project plan, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and available resources.
Collaborate with partners, team members, and beneficiaries to ensure effective communication and coordination, addressing project needs and challenges as they arise.
Contribute to budget planning and monitoring, helping to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effective measures are in place.
Monitor project activities and outputs to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with project guidelines.
Support the identification and mitigation of project risks, helping to develop strategies to address potential obstacles.
Assist in the preparation of regular progress reports, tracking project achievements and challenges, and presenting findings to stakeholders and the Project Manager.
Support the project manager in providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to the project team, promoting a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Assist in establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members, ensuring effective task delegation and coordination.
Contribute to team meetings, providing input and insights to drive effective decision-making and problem-solving.
Support the professional development of team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback as appropriate.
Work towards the inclusion of gender and disability considerations within project activities, ensuring that targets for females and PWD are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, business administration, or a related discipline).
Previous experience in project management, particularly in youth development or educational initiatives.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Financial acumen for budget management and resource allocation.
Knowledge of gender and disability inclusion practices is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with the animation and post-production industry is a plus.
