Job Description



  • We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Plantain / Cassava Flour Production Manager to lead our production team and help us maintain our reputation for quality and innovation.


Key Responsibilities



  • Production Oversight: Supervise the entire production process, from raw material sourcing to packaging, to ensure optimal output and product quality.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production staff, including operators and technicians, to meet production targets and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest standard of product quality.

  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor raw material consumption, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure a steady supply of materials.

  • Cost Control: Monitor production costs, identify opportunities for cost savings, and optimize resource utilization.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, implement innovative solutions, and streamline production processes.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.

  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on production performance, including key metrics, challenges, and recommended solutions.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in food production management, particularly in plantain and cassava flour production.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a production team effectively.

  • In-depth knowledge of food processing and quality control standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations in food production.

  • A commitment to continuous improvement and a results-oriented approach.
