Job Description

• We are currently seeking a skilled candidate to succeed in the role of Driver. This position has the primary responsibility to safely drive straight vehicles to deliver expeditiously and accurately.

Duties

• Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules, and regulations.


• Determines the condition of the vehicle by inspecting the vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements.


• Customer service oriented with a desire to meet and exceed expectations.


• Professional, courteous, and trustworthy while maintaining a sense of pride in work.


• Time management skills to ensure duties are completed in a safe and efficient manner.


• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical requirements including repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.


• Verbal and written communication skills.


• Load and unload cargo.


• Deliver goods to customers.


• Refuel and clean vehicle.


• Report road incidents.


• Follow traffic laws.


• Inspect truck and record issues.


• Keep an activities log and log hours.


• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.

• Keep driver licence up to date.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Driver


• A valid driver's license


• A clean driving record


• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods


• Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts


• A polite and professional disposition


• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations.
