Description

Our client is from the hospitality and tourism industry based In Lagos, Lekki, and looking to hire; a professional Housekeeper able to attend to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening the company's reputation.

Responsibilities

• Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, and lounges as well as guest rooms


• Make up beds and change linens as required


• Distribute towels, and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand


• Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, mini bar


• Replace dirty linens with clean items


• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition


• Check all appliances in rooms are in working order


• Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout


• Respond to guest queries and requests


• Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses


• Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms


• Remove room service items


• Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms


• Follow all company safety and security procedures


• Observe and report damage to hotel property

Competency/Skill/Requirements

• SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate) 


• Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper


• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance


• Customer-oriented and friendly


• Prioritization and time management skills


• Working quickly without compromising quality


• Knowledge of the English language


• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods


• Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel and bend


• Preferably male for gender balance
