Responsibilities
As a Security and Safety Associate, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety and security procedures and protocols to ensure the protection of company personnel and assets.
- Collaborating with the security team to monitor and safeguard company assets, including physical facilities, data, and equipment.
- Enforcing security policies and procedures across the organization, promoting a safe and secure work environment.
- Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and security threats, and recommending appropriate countermeasures.
- Participating in the development and execution of emergency response plans, including evacuations, first aid, and crisis management.
- Responding to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with relevant authorities, and ensuring the safety of employees and property.
- Assisting in the training and education of employees on security and safety best practices.
- Compiling and maintaining incident reports, safety statistics, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- HND or BSc in any related field.
- 2 - 3 years work experience.
- Proven experience in security and safety functions is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, emergency response, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR, security training) are advantageous.
