Accountabilities

• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring timely bank payments.


• Preparing budget forecasts and managing all accounting transactions.


• Handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings.


• Reconciling accounts payable and receivable


• Computing taxes and preparing tax returns.


• Managing balance sheets and profit / loss statements


• Audit financial transactions, documents and procedures


• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.


• Ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.


• Ensuring adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent audits, etc.

Requirements

• B.Sc / HND qualification in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree


• Minimum of five (4) years work experience as an Accountant.


• Hands-on experience with Quick Books or any other accounting software


• Advanced MS Excel skills


• Experience with general ledger functions and strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.


• Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the generally accepted Accounting Principles.
