Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an industrial chemist who will analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical or physical properties, composition, structure, relationships or reactions using various techniques. S/he will:
- Preparing, mixing, and measuring chemicals used by producers.
- Use chemical processes such as chemical reactions and refining methods to produce a wide variety of solid and liquid materials.
- Conduct tests on materials to determine their properties, such as flammability, reactivity with other materials, or resistance to corrosion and to ensure that safety and quality standards are met.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments and equipment used in chemical testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
- Purchase laboratory supplies such as chemicals, when supplies are low or near their expiration
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of test results, standard operating procedures, and laboratory documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards in the industry, ensuring that the company’s products comply with all applicable laws and guidelines.
- Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed.
- Analyze test results, interpret findings, and promptly report any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards.
- Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Qualifications
The candidate should have a relevant postgraduate qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a similar field with seven (7) to ten (10) years relevant experience working in a laboratory chemical analyst in an FMCG or a related industry. Relevant certification(s) is an added advantage.

Job Locations: Sango-Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Gross Salary: #300,000 – #500,000 per month
