A plastics manufacturing company in Lagos, Nigeria is looking to hire a Sales Officer whowill be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and identifying and acquiring new customers.
The role requires a driven individual who is also a confident communicator and excellent negotiator capable of functioning superbly within a team.
Responsibilities
Implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
Follow up on sales inquiries, leads generated, and convert them into sales.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Regularly communicate with customers to understand their needs and address any concerns.
Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Proactively resolve any customer issues or complaints in a timely manner.
Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to improve service quality.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or development.
Provide regular reports and updates on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales-related expenses.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.
Assist in the development and monitoring of sales targets and budgets.
Coordinate with the finance department for order processing, invoicing, and payment collection.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
2 yrs+ Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry in the sales or distribution departments
Excellent communication, sales and negotiation skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and products
Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
Proficiency in using CRM software and data analysis tools.
