  • A plastics manufacturing company in Lagos, Nigeria is looking to hire a Sales Officer whowill be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and identifying and acquiring new customers.

  • The role requires a driven individual who is also a confident communicator and excellent negotiator capable of functioning superbly within a team.


Responsibilities



  • Implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.

  • Follow up on sales inquiries, leads generated, and convert them into sales.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Regularly communicate with customers to understand their needs and address any concerns.

  • Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.

  • Proactively resolve any customer issues or complaints in a timely manner.

  • Conduct regular customer satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to improve service quality.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.

  • Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or development.

  • Provide regular reports and updates on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales-related expenses.

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of sales targets and budgets.

  • Coordinate with the finance department for order processing, invoicing, and payment collection.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field

  • 2 yrs+ Experience in the plastics manufacturing industry in the sales or distribution departments

  • Excellent communication, sales and negotiation skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good understanding of plastics manufacturing processes and products

  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and data analysis tools.
