Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute pastry recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.


• Prepare a variety of pastries, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and bread.


• Decorate and present pastries in an appealing manner.


• Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain equipment.


• Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate pastry production with the overall menu.


• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following food safety and hygiene standards.


• Learn & collaborate with the senior pastry Chef.


• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in pastry-making.


• Implement cost-effective measures to control expenses while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Junior Pastry Chef in a bakery or pastry shop or pastry department in a hotel.


• Culinary diploma or certification in pastry arts.


• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.


• Creative and detail-oriented with excellent decorating skills.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production schedules.


• Good organizational and time management skills.


• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.


• Strong communication and leadership abilities.


• A passion for pastry and a willingness to learn and adapt to new trends.
