Performs preventive patrol in assigned areas, both in vehicle and on foot. Enforces state and federal laws and City ordinances.
Operate motor vehicle while on patrol in a safe manner for extended periods of time in all environmental conditions and on occasion operate the vehicle at high speeds and in congested traffic situations.
Continually observes for and responds to criminal activity, safety hazards, traffic violations, persons needing assistance, etc.
Conducts interviews and interrogations of victims, witnesses, suspects and offenders. Identifies, collects, processes, packages and logs physical evidence
Becomes familiar with patrol districts, geographical locations, known offenders, neighborhood routines, potential problem areas.
Conducts security inspections and surveys buildings and businesses; handles complaints made by the public; conducts preliminary and follow-up investigations.
Patrolling assigned areas on foot or horseback or by car or bicycle, and being on the lookout for suspicious or illegal activity.
Performing on-the-scene investigations.
Helping people in trouble and rendering other public services.
Issuing citations, serving arrest warrants, and arresting people on misdemeanors and felony charges.
Pursuing fleeing suspects on foot.
Handcuffing and searching arrested persons and reading them their rights.
Immediately responding to reports of emergencies or possible crimes and offering the necessary assistance.
Regulating traffic, enforcing traffic laws, investigating traffic accidents, and assisting motorists in need.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with community members.
Completing all necessary paperwork and providing testimonies in court.
Requirements
BSC/HND in any field with mandatory 3 years experience in the security industry.
Prospective Candidate MUST be a graduate with ability to Ride Motorcycle, previous & relevant job are required.
