We are seeking a skilled Charging Infrastructure Electrician to join our team.
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of charging stations electrical issues and related electrical components.
This role plays a critical part in supporting the growth of sustainable transportation and ensuring the reliability of charging infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Installation and Wiring:
Install, wire, and commission electric vehicle charging stations according to manufacturer specifications and local electrical codes.
Ensure that installations meet safety standards and comply with all relevant regulations. Maintenance and Repairs:
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on EV charging stations, including cable replacement, connector maintenance, and component diagnostics.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and technical issues promptly.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with high-voltage electrical systems.
Ensure that all installations and maintenance work are performed safely and in compliance with regulations.
Electrical Upgrades:
Perform electrical upgrades when necessary to support the installation of new charging stations or to enhance the capacity of existing infrastructure. Data and Reporting:
Record maintenance and repair activities accurately and maintain detailed service records.
Generate reports on the performance and status of charging infrastructure. Inventory Management: Manage an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for installations and repairs. Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of required materials.
Qualifications
OND or equivalent.
Certified Electrician with a focus on electrical installations.
Relevant electrical licenses and certifications.
4+ years of proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance, especially with high-voltage systems.
Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in physically demanding and outdoor environments
