Job Summary
- The Branch Lead operations will be responsible for managing the day-to-day business operations of the organization, through extensive planning, coordination and supervision of all operational tasks within the organization at the branch level.
Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:
Operations Management:
- Coordinate and supervise operations services within the branch level, in line with applicable laws and best practices.
- Coordinate the Health and Safety functions of the Organization.
- Develop business policies and processes that support the efficient management of the business and oversee their execution at the branch level.
- Function as an effective liaison and intermediary between the hospital and all outsourced services and specialties at the branch level.
- Develop and foster effective collaboration between clinical departments, divisions, medical staff leadership, faculty and other affiliated services (inside and outside of the hospital) whilst utilizing an integrated approach in service delivery.
- Where appropriate, represent the hospital to the external market with the intent to boost community relations, sales and marketing activities.
- Develop cost effective business strategies to enhance market share and improve the overall performance of the Organization.
- Deploy strategies to enhance revenue and eliminate waste Work through effective resource utilization.
- Communicate key information to stakeholders in the hospital through the submission of periodic progress reports.
Supervisory:
- Responsible for the direct supervision of the Operations team at the branch level by organizing toolbox meetings, training & development programs.
- Ensure smart KPIs are set and appraisals of unit members, bi-annually
- Provide leadership and ensure smooth running of all departments in the operations team at all times.
Vendor and Budget Management:
- Liaise with relevant regulatory agencies to ensure all licenses and permits are paid for as at when due.
- Development & management of the departmental budget towards effective optimization of allocated resources.
- Deploying various strategies to manage vendors and ensure strict adherence with all business processes & policies.
- Other duties that may be assigned by Senior Management.
The Person
- A Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) degree in any relevant social science or business degree is required for this role. An MBA from a renowned university is an added advantage.
- 7 to 10 years relevant work experience preferably in the Health or FMCG sector, three (3) of which must have been spent at managerial level.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies such as NIM, CIPM, ICAN, ACCA is an added advantage
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent communication, business presentation, reporting and people management skills.
