Job description


Our client, a premium fashion house in the heart of Lekki 1 Lagos is looking to hire a Fashion Manager with a Fashion background to manage the day to day activities of the store, the production process and ensure optimum client satisfaction.


Responsibilities:



  • Oversee all the operations in the store

  • Supervise the activities of other staff

  • Discuss concept and design details with head designer

  • Managing the design process from conception through to final styling

  • Assist in creating innovative styles

  • Create sketches and draft pattern to suit style specifications

  • Determine suitable fabric requirements and select materials for project

  • Document and preserve all illustrations, patterns and design layout for future reference

  • Coordinate and collaborate with production team in producing quality product

  • Be part of the creative and detailing process

  • Deliver quality finished product in time

  • Inspecting fabric/end design to look for design or production errors

  • Assign designs to tailors in a task sheet

  • Supervise each task sheet daily and ensure all process for production are agreed based Client’s order.

  • Attend to clients courteously

  • Take proper records during consultation and needs assessment

  • Ensure customer has a positive experience and gives positive feedback

  • Ensure all complaints are resolved in a timely manner

  • Send in sample for fitting, approval, correction, reproduction and alterations.

  • Perform other duties as needed


Requirements:



  • Minimum of three years experience in the fashion industry is a must

  • Experience in Apparel and fabric manufacturing (i.e., lead-times, transit times, garment and fabric construction and apparel manufacturing operations)

  • Must have a full understanding of garment construction (start to finish); that is patterning, cutting, draping, sewing and the difference sewing techniques to achieve design

  • Strong sketcher and creative designer

  • Understand fashion and dress making process

  • Excellent communication - Good listening and problem solving skills

  • Emotionally intelligent and great interpersonal skills
