SUMMARY


Our client, a manufacturing pharmaceutical company, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to join the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to support the company's growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries specific to the manufacturing process.

  • Perform cost accounting activities such as inventory valuation, variance analysis, and overhead allocation.

  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports detailing the manufacturing department's performance and profitability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production costs and identify areas for cost optimization.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing operations.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for financial statements.


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment.

  • Good Knowledge of ERP and Tally

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration across departments.

  • CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and inventory management.

  • Experience in implementing process improvements related to cost accounting.

  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance specific to manufacturing entities.
