Job Summary
- To ensure development of the planning team and project team including supply chain in the processes of planning.
- Implementation of Company procedures on Planning tools and techniques
- Co-ordination of all subcontractors’ programmes and feedback to them on changing main programme information.
- Assist in the management of change in regards of impact on programmes and progress.
Responsibilities
Leadership
- Produces Plans, Programmes and Projects, controls information, sets the performance baselines.
- Monitors project performance against performance baselines
- Recommends, enables, and controls future actions of consultants and contractors.
- Understands and works within contractual frameworks.
- Reports internally and to clients.
- Develop an overall development project progress control system for all phases.
- Review overall project status with the Project Control Team and recommend corrective action where necessary.
Core/Technical
- Develop Planning and Schedule work package for all development stages.
- Develop an overall construction work progress control system for all Block Valve Stations
- Develop an overall development project progress control system for all projects.
- Effectively present project plans to stakeholders
- Ensure Contractors programmes are compliant and in line with the detailed plan and progress monitoring systems.
- Monitor Contractors work package of Progress to ensure that this is consistent with the project plan.
- Draw up action plans for the recovery of slippage and implement these with contractors.
- Assist with the analysis of contractors’ claims to ensure that these are appropriately responded to.
- Close-out planning functions for each project and ensure data is correctly administered for the project.
- Review and understand all relevant project documents and conditions.
- Establish and define project control procedures and identify the level of resources required to operate them.
- Develop in conjunction with the Project Manager and Client, a suitable work breakdown structure for the project
- Establish and communicate construction and schedule baselines and ensure control mechanisms are in place to monitor performance.
- Review overall project status with the Project Control Team and recommend corrective action where necessary.
- Ensure that all construction, planning and document control reports are prepared in accordance with the Project Control Manual
- Other planning management duties as assigned by the Project & Control Manager / Senior Project Engineer and Construction Station.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
- Drive compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, processes, procedures, and applicable laws/legal requirements across Oilserv business.
- Take responsibility for their health & safety and those of stake holders across Oilserv business.
- Get a detailed scope of work for the Oilserv business.
- Post and maintain the signed plan on the job site.
- Enforce all elements of the plan while on the project.
- Inspect the job site, document, as a customer and report all safety conditions.
- Revise the plan if the scope of work changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the Engineering field.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Onshore Pipeline and Facility Installation.
- Proficiency in Primavera & project planning tools.
