Duties &Responsibilities


Product Strategy and Vision:



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the financial organization's goals and objectives.

  • Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities and emerging customer needs.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the product vision, roadmap, and long-term goals.

  • Product Development and Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely and successful product launches.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and features based on market insights and customer feedback.

  • Monitor and evaluate product performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements.


Team Leadership and Collaboration:



  • Build and manage a high-performing product team, including hiring and mentoring.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as sales, operations, risk, compliance, and finance to align product initiatives with business objectives.

  • Foster relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to leverage their expertise and identify potential partnerships.


Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:



  • Stay updated with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices to ensure products adhere to legal and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to mitigate potential risks associated with product development and management.

  • Competitive Analysis and Market Intelligence:

  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand market trends, identify gaps, and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences to drive innovation and differentiation.


Financial Analysis and Planning:



  • Undertake financial modeling to evaluate the financial viability and potential impact of products.

  • Produce reports and recommendations for decision-making on new and existing products, considering their financial implications.


Consumer Intelligence and Research:



  • Drive consumer intelligence through the development of external and internal data sources, enhancing the understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences.

  • Develop and adopt research tools, sources, and methods to support product marketing management intelligence.   


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, or technology.

  • A master degree or MBA or membership in any relevant professional body is required.

  •  Extensive experience (minimum 6 years) in product management, preferably within the financial industry.
