Successful candidate will conduct daily bank reconciliations, post all credits and debits in the Naira accounts.
Calculate bank charges and prepare necessary reports.
Responsibilities
Prepare daily bank reconciliations on assigned banks morning and Afternoon batches (10.am & 2.30pm)
Post Journal and payment vouchers.
Calculates and posts all charges debited by banks on daily basis in line with offer letter.
All charges not in line with the offer letter should be communicated to snr accountant for follow up & resolution with banks.
Custodian of bank approved refunds account in extent of entry posted.
Compute in line with Offer letter charges and cost of shipment, clearing charges, form M charges, custom duty charges, freight charges, LC/BC charges, SONCAP charges, confirmation lines, form m loan charges, BC remittances.
End of month reconciliation on AX on the 3rd working day of a new month and maintain orderly filling of same.
Take up IMS responsibilities such as reporting unsafe acts, condition or procedure in the workplace, participating in fire or emergency drill at work, participating in incident reporting and investigation when necessary and adherence to Company policies.
Qualifications
BA - Accounting, Finance or equivalent. MBA or Master’s Degree or having any of the following relevant certifications (CFA, CMA, and CPA) would be a plus.
2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a large company or a group of companies.
