Core Job Responsibilities
- Assists in the Control and monitoring of generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- Assists to Distribute power among generators.
- Assists to Regulate output from generators
- Monitoring, reporting and escalation of the amount of electricity output as required.
- Ensure plants adhere to safety and environmental rules.
- Conduct area inspections and audits.
- Perform calibration check of scale accuracy at the beginning of each work shift.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance.
- Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly..
- Helps to prepare daily and monthly reports of power plant operation, power usage, and costs.
- Performs related work as assigned by constituted authority
- Checks daily logs to determine proper operation of equipment.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work. Head Of Legal
- Any other duties assigned by the Estate Executives towards the smooth-running of the Estate
Key Performance Indicators
- Reporting timeline: Reporting of all electrical faults in the Estate with 12 working hours. Generator maintenance: Assist the Power G & D Officer to regularly clean and maintain all generator sets throughout the estate. Generator downtime should be less than 5 hours every month.
- Reports: Assist the Power G&D Officer to prepare periodic reports on the electrical operations, power usage and power costs in the estate. Reports should be prepared once weekly and four times in a month.
Job Specification
Academic and Professional:
- B.Sc / HND in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience: 1-3 years of work experience as a trainee electrical engineer, power plant operator or similar role
- Solar Panel knowledge.
