As a Heavy-Duty Truck Engine Systems Technician, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet's engine systems. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency, diagnostic acumen, and a deep understanding of cutting-edge practices in heavy-duty truck engine maintenance.
Advanced Diagnostics
- Employ state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and software to conduct in-depth assessments of heavy-duty truck engine systems.
- Analyze engine performance data and telemetry for predictive maintenance strategies.
Precision Repairs
- Execute intricate repairs on diesel engines, addressing complex issues with components such as fuel injection systems, turbochargers, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
- Utilize precision tools and technologies to ensure the highest level of accuracy in every repair.
Performance Optimization
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement performance optimization strategies, maximizing fuel efficiency and power output, and ensuring the durability of the vehicle engines.
- Stay abreast of advancements in engine technology to implement cutting-edge solutions.
Root Cause Analysis
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses for engine malfunctions, identifying underlying issues and developing comprehensive solutions to promptly restore vehicles back to operations (no engine overhauling effort shall exceed seventy-two (72) hours from repairs commencement time).
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems, ensuring the long-term reliability of vehicle engines and their performance.
Adaptive Maintenance Strategies
- Develop adaptive maintenance schedules based on real-time engine performance data, to effectively minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Implement condition-based monitoring to address potential issues before they escalate (promptly recognizing engine sound types, emissions color, etc.).
Collaborative Research
- Engage in collaborative research with industry experts and organizations to stay ahead of emerging trends in heavy-duty truck engine technology in order to understand and familiarize yourself with the best practices in engine management.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for engine performance enhancement.
Diagnostic Excellence
- Achieve a diagnostic accuracy rate of 95% or higher.
Precision in Repairs
- Maintain a repair precision rate of 90% or higher.
Performance Optimization Impact
- Demonstrate a cumulative improvement of at least 15% in fuel efficiency and power output.
Efficient Problem-Solving
- Complete root cause analysis within an average time of 24 hours.
- Achieve a 20% reduction in recurring issues after repair.
Adherence to Maintenance Schedules
- Adhere to the adaptive maintenance schedule with 95% accuracy.

JOB EXPERIENCE
- HND or Certificate of Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering.
- Expertise in utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and software for engine analysis.
- Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in heavy-duty truck engine maintenance and repair.

SYSTEMS, TRANSMISSION DIAGNOSTICS
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engine schematics and diagrams.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on systematic troubleshooting.
- Ability to adapt to evolving engine technologies and industry best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing repairs. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and irregular hours when necessary.
- Ability to interact with key stakeholders, narrating complex technical issues in understandable forms.
