Role Description



  • This is a full-time on-site role located in Abuja. As the Business Development Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for initiating, developing, and implementing new business opportunities and partnerships for Sydani.

  • The role also involves conducting market research, donor fundraising, client relationship, developing proposals and presentations, and leading the organization's business development campaigns.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of working in a business development role within an NGO or other non-profit organization.

  • This is an external client facing role and candidate must show the ability to generate funds within the development and NGO space.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, International Development, related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum of 7-9 years in a business development or equivalent role with experience in all aspects of marketing, proposal development, capture and building/maintaining relationships with clients.

  • Experience in working with NGOs and/or non-profit organisations in business development, fundraising

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in building and maintaining partnerships with clients.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong presentation skills.

  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a diverse team environment with a results-based approach to delivering client-focused service.
